New measurements or existing signals?
For a new monitoring point, first specify the physical quantity: room temperature and humidity, water on the floor or air quality, for example. For existing equipment, inspect its wiring and manual to identify the signals it can output.
For example, a pressure instrument measures pressure while KS31 acquires its analog output. Distinguish the field probe from the signal-acquisition device; an analog collector does not contain every possible sensing probe.
Match requirements to interfaces and models
KS31 current and voltage inputs are different configurations. KS32 dry-contact inputs are not direct substitutes for active voltage inputs. Confirm the site signal, then follow the corresponding wiring instructions.

Other decisive specifications
- Whether the measurement range and accuracy meet operational needs.
- Required input channels and whether probes and accessories are included.
- Battery or external power, acquisition and reporting intervals.
- Installation location, operating environment and protection requirements.
- Whether the device frequency band matches the site’s LoRaWAN network.
Do not rely on model prefixes alone. Keep records of site outputs and wiring and check each requirement against the exact product page to avoid discovering incompatible interfaces during installation.
