KC25x LoRaWAN DIN-Rail RS-485 Data Concentrator is built exactly for that.


Ultra-Compact, Fits Anywhere

Measuring just 69.0 × 25.0 × 25.0 mm, KC25x snaps onto standard DIN rails or integrates directly via its board-level interface. The 4-pin 2.54 mm-pitch terminal (V+ / V- / A / B) keeps RS-485 wiring simple and tool-free.

Wide-Range Power, Harsh-Field Ready

Accepts DC 5–24 V directly; with an external adapter, AC 85–270 V is also supported. Quiescent current stays under < 8 mA, peaking at only < 110 mA during LoRa TX at 22 dBm. Whether battery-backed or line-powered, KC25x keeps energy budgets lean.

KC25x covers six regional frequency bands out of the box: CN470 / EU433 / EU868 / AS923 / AU915 / US902

Class C + 22 dBm: Always Listening, Instantly Reactive

KC25x runs in LoRaWAN Class C mode—the end-device continuously listens for downlink. Cloud commands reach the terminal instantly without waiting for an uplink window. Combined with +22 dBm TX power and -142 dBm RX sensitivity (SF=12, BW=125 kHz), a single gateway can cover several kilometers in urban environments.

Dual join methods (OTAA / ABP) are supported, with typical network join time of 6–8 seconds.

EdgeBus Inside—When a DTU Becomes Truly Smart

KC25x is powered by the EdgeBus (EB) engine. Developers can write custom edge logic using the EB SDK and EB-compiler:

  • RS-485 transparent transmission with native Modbus RTU support
  • RPC passthrough (51hex)—the cloud can read and write RS-485 devices directly
  • COV (Change of Value) reporting to conserve airtime
  • FUOTA for remote firmware upgrades—no more site visits

A traditional DTU just moves raw bytes. KC25x parses protocols, filters data, and triggers alarms at the edge—reducing cloud bandwidth and platform load.
